Three people arrested and charged with over 80 offences related to drug supply in the New England

Police busted an Inverell drug ring on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th of October, arresting three people and seizing stolen property, cash and a white powder believed to be illegal drugs.

On Thursday 15th of October police arrested a man and woman, aged 32 and 27, at a home in Warialda.

The following day officers arrested another man, aged 39, at a home in Inverell and the trio has been charged with a slew of drug-related offences.

More than 80 charges have been levelled at the group including supplying a commercial quantity of prohibited drugs, dealing with the proceeds of crime and directing activities of a criminal group.

Both men and the woman appeared before Inverell Local Court on Friday 16th October and were refused bail, with their next appearances set down for November and December.

Investigations into the commercial supply of prohibited drugs in Inverell and surrounding areas commenced in March this year as investigators attached to the New England Police District established Strike Force Midwest.

A spokesperson for NSW Police said investigations under Strike Force Midwest are continuing and anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers or their local police station.

In an uncommon announcement, police said further arrests in connection to the strikeforce are likely to occur in the near future.
