Man airlifted following motorcycle accident

A man was airlifted to Tamworth after a motorcycle accident at the weekend.


On Sunday afternoon, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called out after reports of an incident in Nundle State Forest.


A 42-year-old man was riding in the forest when he reportedly struck a log on his motorcycle and came off the bike.


The man initially lost consciousness and sustained rib injuries in the incident.


He was taken by road ambulance to the Nundle Oval to be loaded into the helicopter and transferred to Tamworth Hospital in a stable condition.
