Live entertainment returns to Tamworth as the TRECC 'theatre mode' saves the day

All events scheduled for the Capitol Theatre during September will now be presented at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Conference Centre (TRECC) in what is being called an 'intermate theatre mode'.

Peter Ross Manager Entertainment Venues said the location transfer will allow the shows to go ahead whilst adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.

"TRECC has the capability to still offer an intimate experience for an audience but has the added ability to provide much better foyer and amenities flow so that people can maintain the 1.5m as they moved into and out of the building, " Mr Ross said.

Audience members can rest assured as all tickets will remain valid and the rows and seat numbers will remain the same despite the location transfer.

The box office plans to email out new e-tickets making the scanning process smoother and more COVID-19 Safe for arrival at the venue.

Ticket holders who have not provided an email address can pop into the Capitol Box Office to secure an electronic ticket or bring their old ones on the night.

The first show will be Magic Beach with opening night on Monday, August 31st at 6 pm.
