May 29 until June 9 // AELEC Tamworth

The NCHA Cutting Futurity is back from May 29 to June 9, so don’t miss out on one of the biggest and richest indoor sporting horse events in the Southern Hemisphere!

Cutting has been around for over 100 years but was only introduced to Australia in 1967, making its way to the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 1968 as a main arena attraction.

Horsemen and women from all over Australia were immediately engaged by the skill and ability required by both horse and rider for “Cutting”.

In a cutting contest, horse and rider have two and a half minutes to work two or three beasts and keep them from returning to the herd.

The Annual NCHA Cutting Futurity attracts more than 500 competitors and pays out over $700,000 in cash and prizes over the duration of the event.

Check it out at the home of the NHCA, the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre.
