Doctor Robin Gunnin has been named as the Green's Candidate for the Tamworth Electorate and will run in month’s State Election.
In her first tilt at politics, Doctor Gunnin becomes the 5th candidate to challenge National's candidate Kevin Anderson on the 23rd of March.
The recently retired agriculture scientist says the main focus of her campaign will be on climate change.
"The reason that I’m running is because of climate change."Gunnin said.
"We’ve have had the most horrendous summer and I don’t think anybody can doubt that climate chance is here.
"It’s not a case of we’re worried about our future generations any longer, we’re worried about us."
