ANZAC Day services

Each year on April 25, Australians across the country commemorate the ANZACS.


It marks the day that Australian and New Zealand soldiers first landed at Gallipoli in 1915, with the day being officially dedicated to the ANZACS the following year.


Today, people attend services to commemorate the World Wars and the men and women who have served their country in the numerous conflicts since.


Please see below a comprehensive list of all services held across the Tamworth region.


Tamworth

  • Dawn Service, 5:30am at the ANZAC Gates, Anzac Park, Brisbane Street.

  • Service & Ex-Service Personnel Breakfast, 6:15am at West Diggers, Kable Avenue and Services Club, Marius Street.

  • Somerton Service, 8am

  • Kootingal Service, 8am

  • Railway Memorial Park Commemoration Service, 9:45am

  • Main March Step-off, 10am from Marius Street.

  • Main Commemoration Service, 10:45am at the Tamworth Memorial Town Hall.

  • Members ANZAC Day Luncheon, 12pm at West Tamworth Leagues Club.

  • Attunga Service, 3pm

Gunnedah

  • Dawn Service, 5:30am at the Cenotaph Memorial, Conadilly Street.

  • Main March Step-off, 10:30am from Marquis Street.

  • Official Service, 10:45am at the Cenotaph Memorial.

Barraba

  • Dawn Service, 6am at the memorial clock in Queen Street.

  • Main Service, 11am in Queen Street opposite Andy’s Guest House.

Manilla

  • March Commencement, 10:45am commencing from the RSL Club with a following service adjacent from the Large Town Hall.

Bendemeer

  • Dawn Service, 5:30am at the Memorial Gates in Memorial Park, Memorial Drive.

  • March Commencement, 11am from the corner of Havannah Street and Memorial Drive.

  • Service, 11am at Memorial Park.

Duri

  • Service Commencement, 7:30am at the Sportsground Memorial.

Kootingal

  • March Commencement, 8am from Kootingal School.

  • Service Commencement, 8:30am at the Memorial in Memory Park, Denman Avenue.

Nundle

  • Service Commencement, 11am at the Nundle Memorial Hall followed by a March to the Cenotaph at the Nundle Council Office.

Somerton

  • March Commencement, 7:45am from the Somerton Public School.

  • Commemorative Service, 8am at the Somerton War Memorial Hall.

Quirindi

  • Dawn Service, 5:30am at the Memorial Clock.

  • March Commencement, 10:45am from the Quirindi Post Office to the Memorial Clock.

Moonbi

  • The Moonbi Masonic Village RFBI will be hosting a Service on Monday April 24 at the Moonbi Masonic Village RFBI starting at 10am.
