A teenage boy has been charged after allegedly breaking an officer’s nose during the search for a wanted man in Gunnedah yesterday.
About 11am on Tuesday police attended a home on Edward Street at Gunnedah to make inquiries about a wanted person.
Upon entering the home, it is alleged a 16-year-old boy pushed an officer in the back.
Officers deployed OC spray to subdue the boy who was arrested.
When assisted to his feet, it's alleged the boy head-butted the officer in the face.
The officer attended Gunnedah Hospital for treatment for a broken nose.
The boy was taken to Gunnedah Police Station where he was charged with multiple offences.
He was bail refused and appeared at a Children’s Court later that day.
