Tamworth flight passengers potentially exposed to COVID-19

NSW Health has advised that a Qantas flight that landed in Tamworth was carrying at least one person with a confirmed case of coronavirus.

Flight QF2004 from Sydney to Tamworth on March 19 is on a list of "known flights with confirmed cases of COVID-19".


Passengers in rows 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 were defined as being in "close contact" with the infected person or persons.


Advice for passengers on flights with a confirmed case of COVID-19 is to "self-isolate for 14 days".

"This applies to everyone, even if you have no symptoms," a NSW Health statement said.

"If you develop symptoms, you must call your GP or healthdirect on 1800 022 222 or visit your ED.


"For severe symptoms, such as shortness of breath at rest or difficulty breathing, dial 000."


The total number of coronavirus cases in the Tamworth Regional area is 11 as of 8pm on Saturday.
