Postcodes, dates of confirmed COVID-19 cases released

New data reveals for the first time a full breakdown of confirmed COVID-19 cases by postcode.

NSW Health had only been releasing daily figures by local government area, but now residents can search for their postcode.

In the 2340 postcode, there are 11 cases with the first one confirmed on March 21.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said NSW is the first jurisdiction to have postcode-level data available.

“It’s better for the public to have the information," she said.

"All of us can handle the information, we want to know what’s going on and so working through Service NSW, we made sure there is data available which reduces everything to the postcode.

"You can look up a postcode to see what is happening in your community.”

The raw data can be found here.
