Police pursuit with spinning cars and ramming vehicles ends with a 23-year-old woman arrested

A wild police pursuit starting on one of Tamworth's main drags has ended with cars spinning off the road and led to the arrest of a 23-year-old woman on Monday evening.

Around 10:30 pm on Monday 16th, November police spotted a white Holden Commodore and instantly recognised it as a car they had tried to stop just days earlier.

A pursuit began down Goonoo Goonoo Road before the driver of the white Commodore lost control of the vehicle and it began to spin off the road.

Once regaining control of the car the driver allegedly speed towards the police hitting their vehicle in an aggressive manner.

However, spinning cars and ramming vehicles was not the end of this pursuit as the woman then left her vehicle and began to flee on foot before being arrested a short time later.

The woman was taken to Tamworth Hospital for treatment of minor injuries before being moved on to Tamworth Police station.

Tamworth Police charged the woman with 11 offences including dangerous driving, two counts of driving while disqualified, using a vehicle with altered number plates and breaching bail.

The woman was refused bail and appeared in Tamworth local court today.

No police were injured during the incident however the marked police car did sustain some damage.
