There are no new coronavirus cases in the Tamworth Regional area, with the case count remaining at 12. According to NSW Health Armidale, Liverpool Plains and Inverell have between one to four cases each, while there are no reported cases for Gunnedah. As of 8pm Tuesday, an additional 10 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in the district, bringing the total number of Hunter New England confirmed cases to 218. Public Health Physician, Dr Dave Durrheim, said talking about the "flattening of the curve" is too premature, as the numbers most likely reflect something else. "What we are seeing is the end of the incubation period of people who were on the cruise ships," he said. "All new cases now will be people who either acquired the virus in the community or from gatherings together. "This is our chance to actually stop the virus ... we need to make sure we stay at home." The 14-day isolation period for passengers from most cruise ships that came into Sydney, including Ovation of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Celebrity Solstice and Ruby Princess, is close to completion. NSW Health is a thorough review of confirmed COVID-19 case numbers within the system to most accurately finalise the total NSW number of passengers from cruise ships. In NSW an additional 150 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed bringing the total number of confirmed cases in NSW to 2,182.
