A man was taken to hospital after being "hit by a car" on Thursday night.
Paramedics were called out to the intersection of Brisbane Street and Peel Street at 11.10pm.
"Two crews attended," a NSW spokesperson said.
"We treated one patient, a 31-year-old male for injuries to the head.
"He was conscious and still breathing and taken to Tamworth Base Hospital in a stable condition."
A section of Brisbane Street was closed, and police directed traffic while the patient was treated by paramedics.
