A man will re-appear at the Tamworth local Court today after being charged over the alleged armed robbery of a man in South Tamworth last week.
At about 3.30pm on Tuesday a man was using an ATM at a shopping centre on Robert Street when he was confronted by a man armed with a knife.
It’s alleged the man was threatened and robbed of his cash before the armed man fled.
Following inquiries, investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Central Avenue in Tamworth, on Friday locating an18-year-old man who was arrested.
He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, and armed with intent commit indictable offence.
The man appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Saturday and was refused bail, he will appear at the same court today.
