It's almost the weekend and we've got the perfect Friday distraction right here

The worlds funniest photography competition has announced their finalists just in time to brighten up 2020.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, founded by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, both professional photographers and passionate conservationists, showcases seriously funny images of the earth's most amazing wildlife.

In addition to the light-hearted relief we can all use this year, the competition aims to highlight wildlife conservations by engaging with the competitions main partner - The Born Free Foundation.

The overall winner will be announced on October 22nd and the top image will win the photographer a one-week safari in Kenya as well as a unique handmade trophy from the Art Garage in dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Competition founder Tom Sullam said humans have the ability to impact the lives of the animals we all admire so much.

"With the recent lockdown, we have all got used to doing things slightly differently, including shopping closer to home, so why not carry on," Mr Sullam said," It helps in all sorts of ways from supporting small, local businesses to shrinking your carbon footprint and is way more fun! And if you can avoid buying un-recyclable products and one-use plastics/packaging, even better."

Apart from the Category and Overall winners, there is, of course, a peoples choice award.
