House engulfed in a fiery blaze for the second time
It was a late night for firefighters who tackled an abandoned house that went up in flames during the night. Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 314 Gunnedah used a pumper and tanker to extinguish the fiery structure after receiving multiple calls from triple zero just after 11pm.
Crews in breathing apparatus attacked the fire from all sides before bringing the blaze under control in an hour. A FRNSW spokesperson said it was an abandoned house as it had been engulfed by flames previously in January 2018. Police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
