Farmers object to new gas project

Local farmers object to the new gas project citing water use as a major concern.

The Narrabri Gas Project has been referred to the Independent Planning Commission for public hearings due to commence on Monday 20th July.

The new gas pipeline is planned to run from Narrabri to Sydney and cross through private lands and national parks.

Xavier Martin is a local farmer and Secretary of the Tambar Springs Gunnedah branch of the NSW Farmers Association and spoke with 2TM journalist Toni Ambrogetti about why their branch is objecting.
