CWA NSW drought relief fund closing soon

The CWA announced they are closing their NSW drought relief fund. The fund, established in 2018, provided over 18 million dollars in drought relief to NSW farmers.

Stephanie Stanhope, President of the CWA NSW said the decision to close the fund was made, as large areas of NSW are no longer being classified to be in a drought anymore.

There are, however, some pockets classified as in drought, including the Northern Tablelands. This is why the CWA is urging local farmers to apply for the fund while it is still operational. Local farmers have until March 12 to apply for the CWA drought relief fund.
