It's the news that we all need at the end of the week, a cute little kitten has been rescued from the roof of a barbershop in North Tamworth.
Fire and Rescue NSW Station 452 Tamworth have demonstrated their diversity and compassion by rescuing the dusty fluff ball from the roof space of a manhole at a shop on Peel Street on Thursday afternoon around 1:30 pm.
The fire crew posted to their Facebook page in an effort to find the owner and have taken the kitten to the local pound.
If the kitten is not claimed the pound will start looking to find the cat a forever home.
