Council COVID-19 Restrictions Easing

In line with easing of COVID-19 restrictions throughout New South Wales, Tamworth Regional Council have made a number of changes to it's operations. These will be in place from Saturday June 13 and include:

Ø Tamworth Community Centre will reopen from Monday 15 June, 2020 from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and other times for event bookings. The maximum capacity of each room has been reduced in accordance with physical distancing measures. Additional measures to contain COVID-19 include: increased cleaning of surfaces, automated hand sanitiser stations at entry doors, signage about physical distancing and the capacity of each room. Groups who hire rooms must supply Council with a copy of their COVIDSafe plan and have a register of attendees.

Ø Barraba Hydrotherapy Pool will open the week commencing Monday, 15 June, 2020. The pool will be open for its usual winter season timetable of up to 16 hours each week.

Ø Tamworth Sports Dome will remain closed until competition resumes early July, as it is an indoor sports venue. The facility will operate under a COVIDSafe plan that will strictly follow all social distancing requirements.

Ø A number of sport groups who have prepared a COVIDSafe plan have resumed training on Council’s playing fields.
