Coronavirus cases in Tamworth Regional remain stable


Numbers of coronavirus in Tamworth Regional have remained stable over 24 hours the latest figures how. According to NSW Health Armidale, Liverpool Plains and Inverell have between one to four cases each, while there are no reported cases for Gunnedah. The numbers are as of 8pm on March 30, and NSW Health updates the figures every 24 hours. The total number of Hunter New England confirmed cases is now at 208, and there are now 2,032 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NSW. Currently, 12 COVID-19 patients are being cared for in the district's hospitals, seven in ICU. Public Health Physician, Dr Dave Durrheim, said 165 of the district's cases were acquired overseas and only 12 were locally acquired with an unknown cause. He added that in exciting news, of the 208 cases, 33 have recovered so far. "They have recovered and we are very excited they are back in our community," Dr Durrheim said.
