Chance for businesses to upskill while in COVID-19 lockdown

Businesses in the Tamworth region will soon be able to take advantage of a three-part online course to enhance their marketing and communication skills during the COVID-19 lockdown. Tamworth Regional Council has partnered with Tourism Tribe with the support of Destination Country & Outback NSW to bring the ‘Amp up your Marketing Skills’ course to businesses. Deputy Mayor Phil Betts said council is working hard to provide relief to residents and businesses of the region at this difficult time. "We are conscious that businesses are working to reduce their costs in the current environment, so we’re thrilled to offer this upskilling opportunity to the region’s business community free of charge," he said. “The survival of business will be key to how our economy will recover when this is all over. "We encourage businesses to take advantage of opportunities like this to upskill, review existing business practices and learn from others in order to come out on the other side even better than before. The course runs across May and June 2020 with three one-hour online sessions covering the following topics;
Updating your online presence to shine now and post the COVID lockdown
Creating quality content and leveraging user-generated content
Developing compelling experiences, packages and campaigns.
The course is on offer to eligible businesses at no cost via a coupon code that can be attained by contacting TRC’s Economic and Destination Development team. This course is available to businesses in the Tamworth Local Government Area, as well as eligible businesses within the Liverpool Plains Shire, Gunnedah Shire, Narrabri region, Gwydir Shire and Walcha.
