2TM's Top Ten Things to Do This Weekend

NUMBER 1

NSW State Dressage Championships

These Dressage Championships run all weekend Saturday and Sunday, continue with the Grand Prix High Tea on Sunday 

A massive party on Saturday night with Hurricane Fall playing.

Catch all the action at the AELEC.

NUMBER 2

Tamworth Cycling Festival

2019 Tamworth Cycling Festival will be held on 24th/25th of August.

The festival will include a multi-discipline hill climb (mountain bike, road bike and running) at the scenic Oxley Lookout; a criterium event in the heart of the Tamworth CBD; the traditional 100km Nemingha to Nundle handicap race on the Sunday including a round of the NSW Elite Womens Road Premiership, and a 100km gran fondo and 35km community ride through the beautiful Dungowan Valley.

We look forward to seeing you at our event!

Group 4 Rugby League Semi-Finals


Saturday – Major Semi Finals @ Jack Woolaston Oval North Tamworth.

First Grade: North Tamworth v Werris Creek

Second Grade: Manilla v Narrabri

Under 18’s: North Tamworth v Dungowan

Ladies League Tag: North Tamworth Dungowan

Games start 10:30am with Ladies League Tag.

Sunday – Minor Semi Finals @ Kootingal Oval.

First Grade: Kootingal v Gunnedah

Second Grade: Kootingal v Gunnedah

Under 18’s: Kootingal v Gunnedah

Ladies League Tag: Kootingal v Gunnedah

Games start 10:30am with Ladies League Tag.

Greater Bank AFLNW - Women's GRAND FINAL 

A massive weekend for our Women's side the Tamworth Kangaroos heading up against the Inverell Saints Saturday 24th!

Cheer them on in the sunshine 1pm at Wolseley Oval, Gunnedah.

Gunnedah Polo Carnival

NUMBER 5

The Gunnedah Polo club invites you to the 2019 Gunnedah Polo Carnival held over two exciting days at the Gunnedah Polo Club.

The carnival cumulates towards the nail-biting Gunnedah Cup Final played after lunch on the Sunday afternoon. Lunch is available on both days and is beautifully presented by the committee. All are welcome to join us for the lunch with players. Polo is a wonderful day out for anyone wanting to enjoy a few drinks with friends or for families looking for a day out.

Gunnedah Polo Club is an inclusive community that promotes Polo and welcomes all people wanting to enjoy our sport.

Monthly Rotary Markets

at Calala

Browse the Calala Markets in the sunshine, and grab all sorts of locally crafted bargains. From baked treats to plants, jewelery, candles, honey, preserves, plants, doggy treats, furniture.. and always lots of surprises!

Get in early to get the pick of the stalls!

Quirindi Showgirl

Cocktail Party

Join us for an evening to celebrate our 2019 Showgirls. There will be live music great food & drinks and of course speeches from our wonderful Showgirl entrants.

Tickets are $45pp for those buying through trybooking there is a $1.63 booking fee. Tickets can also be purchased from Lush Hair & Beauty in Quirindi

There will be a cash only bar open throughout the evening. Please note there are no EFTPOS facilities at the venue.

NUMBER 8

Bar Choir at the Welders

Bar Choir is about singing a song you like with just a bit of help with timing, and the words. You are not expected to have any musical training or skill. Just enthusiasm and the ability to read.

We will be singing the Cranberries song Zombie. This is a bit of a tribute to the lead singer Dolores O'Riordan who died unexpectedly in January 2018.

Tickets can be purchased before the event at a discounted price or will be for sale at the door on the day for $20. Please note numbers are limited.

NUMBER 9

Kokedama Workshop

We are excited to be holding a Kokedama making workshop at Miss JuJu!! Where you will make your very own Kokedama, and sample some beautiful food prepared by Miss JuJu at 174 Bridge Street, West Tamworth.  https://www.missjuju.com.au/

Enjoy a fun guided demonstration, with tips and tricks along the way. You will handle a variety of real plants, soil and moss to create your very own Kokedama. 🌿

Cost is $75 per person all materials and beautiful refreshments provided. 💕

There will be 2 sessions 10.00am to 12.00pm or 2.00pm to 4.00pm, please message your preferred session time. Be quick spots will fill quickly

Annual Bonfire and Fireworks at Liberty Church Tamworth

The annual Bonfire & Fireworks night is an event for the whole family.

Adult $15, Student $5, Family $40

Ticket price includes entry fee, food, drink, showbag, bonfire, fireworks, marshmallows, sparklers and entertainment.

Tickets can be purchased at the office.
