2TM's Top Ten Things to Do This Weekend

1. Neverending StorySaturday and Sunday, June 29 – 30 // Capitol Theatre // 2pm This will be one amazing show starring local students at Ballet Stars Tamworth and Barraba. Why not come along and watch as Tamworth's home grown performers and choreographers bring to life the secrets of Neverending Story.

You’ll see ballet, tap , jazz and hip hop, contempory and musical theatre amongst the styles of dance, no doubt leaving the theatre feeling inspired and mesmerised. Grab your tickets from entertainmentvenues.com.

2. A Touch of Christmas

Saturday June 29 // Qurindi Jockey Club Dining Room // 6pm till late

Friends of Children with Special Needs Quirindi group invite you to a Touch of Christmas with Heartland.

It's happening at the Quirindi Jockey Club from 6pm till late and tickets available at Goodness and Gracious Quirindi.

3. 2019 Inter-Schools Horse Extravaganza

Saturday and Sunday, June 29 – 30 // AELEC

This event will include working horse challenge, horse sporting events, hack and led classes, Campdraft, ODE, show jumping and dressage events.

4. Mid-year Psychic Fair Saturday and Sunday, June 29 – 30 // Ibis Styles Motel Tamworth // 9am – 6pm

There is plenty to find at this Psychic Fair, hosted by Christopher Lavender at the Ibis Styles Motel Tamworth.

Showcasing some of the best Tamworth has to offer from wellness and readers but also from interstate and international. There will be several workshops, massages, energy healing, product sales like crystals and smudge sticks and candles plus lots more.

5. North Tamworth Bears Old Boys Day (North Tamworth vs Werris Creek) Saturday June 28 // Jack Woolaston Oval // 11am

A massive day of rugby league for the Old Boys Day down at Jack Woolaston Oval, with the Group 4 first division rugby league top of the table clash!

The action will be getting underway at 11am with the Ladies League tag and it’s a massive day of the year all to celebrate our old players.

3pm will see the North Tamworth Bears tip off with the Werris Creek Magpies so get down there this Saturday.

6. Tamworth City Dance Academy Mid-Year Competition and Showcase

Saturday and Sunday June 28 – 29 // Tamworth Town Hall // 8am – 7pm both days

TCDA proudly presents its annual mid-year competition and showcase, a great opportunity for the students to prepare themselves on stage before the end of year major production at TRECC. There’ll be both a junior and senior showcase highlighting the technique and skills they have been working on all year.

7. Tamworth Thunderbolts Game Day

Sports Dome Saturday June 29 // Sports Dome // 6pm

Get to the Sports Dome on Saturday June 29 for the State League Men's game with the Tamworth Thunderbolts up against the Hills Hornets.

8. Garage Sale at The Magic Pudding Tamworth

Saturday June 29 // The Magic Pudding, Peel Street // 10am – 12pm

There’s a massive clearance of stock from The Magic Pudding. Cushions, throws and rugs to clear, giftware homewares, clothing and more at massively reduced prices!

Be there for a sharp 10am start at the Magic Pudding Tamworth in Peel Street.

9. Polka Dot Handbag Cake Workshop Saturday June 29 // Triple M Cake Decorating Supplies, 26 Hartmann Drive, Kingswood // 2:30pm – 6:30pm

The skills you will learn include: carving a cake, applying ganche to a mud cake, covering a cake with fondant, make and applying fondant trims and decorations to a cake.

Cost of the workshop is $150 which includes your cake to take home, afternoon tea and, coffee, tea and refreshments.
