Crossing Continents in Concert at the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music brings together four creative Australian musicians, all with strong connections to different parts of the globe.

Music Connects, Music Unites: Crossing Continents infuses strong personal approaches with a myriad of heavily flavoured sounds, taking listeners on a journey of aural storytelling where music joins all corners of the world. From Flamenco to North African & Middle-Eastern roots, Jewish Klezmer to gypsy flavours via Balkan routes, Celtic travels & beyond, audiences are treated to an evening of refined globetrotting musical flair.

Round 5 is approaching FAST!!! It's going to be EPIC!! Who's coming?

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come check out the action. Camping on site is also available.

Located on Limbri property which is 40km from Kootingal off the New England Highway. From the New England Highway, turn into Kootingal and follow the Limbri Rd into Limbri. Then travel another 24km on the Limbri-Weabonga Rd. Follow the signs into the property.

ASHLEIGH DALLAS IN QUIRINDI

Multi Golden Guitar Winner Ashleigh Dallas is bringing her band, songs and stories for an evening concert in Quirindi. Get on down there for a dance and a great night!

She’s the 3rd Generation in a Country Music Family Dynasty - it is no surprise multiple Golden Guitar Winner Ashleigh Dallas, took to the music scene like a duck to water.

Born in Australia’s Country Music Capital of Tamworth NSW, Ashleigh grew up listening to the musical sounds of her family - Roll of Renown recipient and Golden Guitar Winner Rex Dallas, and Golden Guitar winner, producer, multi instrumentalist father Brett Dallas.

With three studio albums under her belt, and a brand new Album release for 2019, Ashleigh has cemented her own footprint in the industry with her songwriting and unique sound and with the upcoming Album filled with 100% original songs, Ash feels like she is about to share her best music yet.

JAY LAGA’AIA – FREE CHILDRENS SHOW

Saturday 26 October // 2pm – 4pm // Royal Theatre, Quirindi


Jay Laga’aia, a former Playschool presenter and co-creator is performing a free children’s show at the Quirindi Royal Theatre.

Jay has written & released several very successful children’s albums through ABC Music: I Can Play Anything, Come Dance and Sing, Ten in a Bed and Family Time which were all nominated for ARIA Awards in the Best Children’s Album category.

So come along with the kids for an afternoon full of entertainment with Jay Laga’aia!

PINK RIBBON BIKE RIDE

Sunday 27 October // 8.20am – 12.20pm // The Pub, 99 Gunnedah Rd, Tamworth


The Pink Ribbon Bike Ride is on again at The Pub. Registrations from 8.30am, Ride leaves at 9.30am.

All proceeds from the day are donated to the Cancer Council.

The day includes: - Fishing Club BBQ Breakfast - Raffles - Live Music - Prizes for Best Dressed Rider & Best Dressed Bike.


NUMBER 1

QUESTACON

Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 October // 10am – 3pm // TRECC


Come along to Questacon this weekend and learn, experiment and have fun with science!!

You can encourage a fascination and enjoyment of science by exploring hands-on exhibits including spin like an ice-skater, discover how fast you can throw a ball, freeze your shadow on a wall and test your reflexes.

There will also be spectacular science shows presented throughout the day as well as a range of all thing’s science up for sale in the shop!

Adults $6, Students/Concession $5, Family $18 and children under 5 are free.
