2TM's Top Ten Things to Do in Tamworth

Tamworth International Horse Driving Trials

Hosted and organised by the Horse Driving Club, the Tamworth International Horse Driving Trials is considered a festival of Carriage Driving that brings all levels of drivers to northern NSW for an epic week of carriage driving.

Spring Ridge Community Fundraiser

Spring Ridge Hall will come alive with the sounds of music this Saturday when multi-award winner Fanny Lumsden brings her Country Halls Tour to town for a community fundraiser for the Spring Ridge Preschool.

This will be an affordable, fun and family friendly night out. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for 5-15 years and under 5 free. Dinner and bar facilities available. Doors open at 6pm for food and drinks. Show starts at 6.30pm.

Spring Ridge also offers a freedom camping precinct for those who would like to stay the night

NUMBER 8

Adopt a Pet Day

Come on over and join our Volunteers in a meet and greet with some of our adorable and friendly Adoptable Pets!

Did you know there are not enough homes for all the animals that are born every year? 

Adopting from a shelter helps weaken the pet overpopulation cycle. Each year 8 to 12 million dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are euthanized because there are simply not enough homes for them.

FRETFEST


CALLING ALL GUITARISTS & SONGWRITERS 

​We want you to join in the fun at fRETfEST on Sat 12th Oct from 12noon at The Pub. PA supplied, just rock with your guitar, put your name down at 12pm and get ready to strut your stuff on the main stage (on the day!)

All original tunes all genres welcome. Mellow acoustic, electric rock, jazz folk, blues and even country!

Have fun at fRETfEST Sat 12th Oct, 12pm at The Pub, Tamworth. This is not a competition. It's a cool afternoon of original tunes!

Tamworth Legacy - Charity Bowls Day


Come and join in on our Chairty Bowls Day! Teams of 4 - single entries accepted.

$25 per player

2 games of 12 ends - mufti dress (flat soled shoes essential or barefoot)

1 game before lunch - 1 game afterwards

NUMBER 5

Tamworth Showjumping World Cup Show

Four action packed days of equestrian events. Witness show jumping across three arenas and the feature event – the 2019 Tamworth World Cup Qualifier class held at approx 7.00pm on Saturday 12 October in the AELEC Indoor Arena.

The TWCS incorporates six tours – Silver, Bronze, Young Rider, Junior, 1.15m and Children's Tours and attracts riders from across the country.

The TWCS is held in conjunction with the annual Tamworth International Horse Driving Trials, with both events free for spectators.

Spring Market at Ruby's!


Join us in the alfresco grounds of Ruby's Cafe and Gift Store for our SPRING MARKET event for 2019!

​We're looking forward to showing you what our stall holders have been busy creating and curating. As always, Ruby's will provide the coffee, breakfast, lunch, delicious cakes and pastries.


This event is sure to be brimming with art, design, handmade gifts, vintage clothing & eco and sustainable products.

Keepit Kommando

Are you ready for the challenge? There is no time to cry, complain or whinge about something you can’t handle. The Lake Keepit ‘Keepit Kommando’ will provide mud pits, challenging obstacles and intitative tasks over 5km’s worth of tough terrain.

If you’re after some fresh air, harsh ground, mud, water and a whole lot more - well what are you waiting for, get ready to take on the ‘Keepit Kommando’!

Cotton Capital Country Music Muster


Don’t miss out on a weekend full of Country Music, Bush Ballads, Classic Country, Rockin’ Country and Bush Poetry! With a huge line-up of great performers including our very own Sally-Anne Whitten, will be performing live on the day!

You can also enjoy the food and bar facilities and maybe even join in on the Caravan Olympics!
