Marsupial Park's 10th Birthday

Saturday & Sunday //Tamworth Marsupial Park


The Tamworth Marsupial Park celebrated its 10th birthday during the week! So get the family and make the most of this wonderful weather by getting out to the park and wishing the staff a big happy birthday.


Number 9

Belt Out The Big Dry

Saturday 7:30pm//Gunnedah Hotel


Belt Out The Big Dry - a good old-fashioned sing-a-long in the pub with your mates!


The night will bring locals together to belt out a stack of well-known classic tunes over a chat and a beer.


It’s free entry on the night, but places are limited so arrive EARLY!


Pre-register online to secure your spot and for your complimentary drink on arrival* plus entry into the raffle to win some great prizes, thanks to the generosity of The Gunnedah Hotel and Gunnedah Veterinary Hospital.


Number 8

Northern Inland Premier League Major Finals

Saturday 12:30pm//Scully Park


Its finals time in the Northern Inland Premier League and it will all kick off with major finals at Scully Park.


The action will get underway at 12:30pm with North Companions taking on North Armidale in the second grade major final.


At 3pm, Tamworth FC will host North Armidale in the first grade major final.


The winner will secure a home grand final to be played in a fortnight’s time and the loser will play in a do or die preliminary final next weekend.

2340 Big Band Rocks the Classics

Saturday 8pm//Capital Theatre


After a sold out Rock The Classics concert in 2018 the 2340 Big Band will again take you on a time-warp back to the popular music of the 60's, 70's and 80's with a few modern surprises thrown in.


All the guitar riffs, brass phrases, organ licks, vocal harmonies and rhythmic grooves from classic rock songs will be recreated to bring back the good times with resident vocalists Kate Armstrong and Brad Gill as well as special guests Chris Langston, Gabriela McDonald, Rae Moody, Matt O'Leary and Sally-Anne Whitten.

Tintinhull Public School’s Astronomy Night

Saturday 6pm//Tintinhull Public School


Make the most of the great weather and clear skies and get out to Tintinhull Public School this Saturday Night. Telescopes will be set up in the school grounds for the use with members from the Tamworth Regional Astronomy Club there to help out. The night will include a performance by the school’s choir and a Presentation and Q&A section using “Kahoot App”.


The P&C will also be running a barbeque on the evening.

Craft Alive is Regional Australia’s leading craft and Sales Expo.


Annually Craft Alive brings together both interstate and local talented exhibitors, focusing on the latest Craft Trends and Supplies, Creative Hand Finished Products, Do it Yourself Products, Homewares and Creative Workshops & Classes to inspire people of all ages.

Get hands on with the experts with two jam-packed workshop areas featuring fabric dying, card making, new patchwork techniques and more.


There is something for the whole family with the Tamworth Woodturners on hand to answer your questions and the Australian Embroiderers Guild displaying their beautiful handiwork.

Group 4 Rugby League Grand Final Day

Saturday 11am//Jack Woolaston Oval


It’s grand final time for the Group 4 Rugby League Competition. The action packed day of footy will feature four season deciders. See below for the days runsheet.


11am: Ladies League Tag Final – North Tamworth Bears vs Dungowan Cowboys

12pm: Under 18’s Final – North Tamworth Bears vs Dungowan Cowboys

1:30pm: 2nd Grade Final – Manilla Tigers vs Kootingal Moonbi Roosters

3pm: 1st Grade Final – North Tamworth Bears vs Kootingal Moonbi Roosters


Number 1

West Tamworth Fire Station’s 50th Birthday Parade

Sunday 11am//Peel Street


West Tamworth’s Fire Station will kick off their 50th birthday celebrations with a Parade down Peel Street (following the same route as the Cavalcade).


The procession will involve firefighters past and present from 508 Station West Tamworth in their engines and also include historic firefighting equipment and appliances from a bygone era.


This will be followed by a BBQ at the station at 16 Kent Street.
