At the June meeting of the Tamworth Pastoral and Agricultural Show Management Committee, it was decided to cancel the 2020 show.

It was regrettable but was based on the health risks to the volunteers and the community and being financially viable. To make the show a successful event thousands of people need to attend, participate and social distancing rules would restrict those numbers.

It would not be a financially wise decision with the added cost of implementing all the COVID-19 regulations, hiring of the AELEC facility and the uncertainty of the number of people through the gate to proceed with the show this year.

While the Tamworth Pastoral and Agricultural Show Management Committee are aware of restrictions slowly lifting it is important to protect the future of the show.

The 2021 show dates are scheduled for Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September.
