2TM Tamworth and our sister station, 92.9fm are proud to be part of the community and regularly promote many charity events and organisations that are vital to our region.  We have been involved in many activities, including outside broadcasts, games, competitions and on-air advertisements.

Along with out major partnerships listed below, we also support local schools, clubs and support groups.

WESTPAC RESCUE HELICOPTER SERVICE

The 'formal' partnership between 2TM and 92.9fm began in 2002.  We have continued to support the service every year and still do to this day.

We provide support throughout the year with their various activities as well as for donation drives including:-

In 2021, we handed the service a cheque for $8020 being 100% of the proceeds from the 2TM 85th Anniversary Cookbook.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

2TM and 92.9fm Tamworth have been continuously supporting Ronald McDonald House in Tamworth, since the day it was first built in 2008.

​Our support throughout the year includes promotion of their fund raising events as well as personal appearances from members of our team including:-

Each year we ask the visiting artists to the station to sign a guitar which is auctioned off at the Country Under the Vines event.

tAMWORTH BUSINESS CHAMBER

2TM have been supporters of the Tamworth Business Chamber since its inception, and 92.9fm from the day they switched on in 1993.

Both stations provide support to the Chambers various campaigns each year by way of recorded commercials, promotions, outside broadcasts,  interviews, Emceeing and by personal attendance from our team members.

NORTHERN INLAND ACADEMY OF SPORT

2TM and 92.9fm are the official and exclusive Radio media partners of the NIAS since 2003.

​

Being partnered with an organisation such as NIAS assists the personal growth and development of our young athletes living in our community.

​

We give the Academy monthly air-time and interviews and we broadcast live each year from the National Primary Games event.


CANCER COUNCIL

2TM and 92.9fm have supported the Cancer Council for many years with on-air presence, along with participation and attendance from the stations team members.

SERENDIPITY

Since 1994 the Serendipity Committee Tamworth have continued to raise funds for the benefit of local breast cancer patients.

Our objectives are:


DOING IT FOR OUR FARMERS

Doing It For Our Farmers or DIFOF as it became known, provided food and necessities to struggling families during the worst drought in Australia's history.

2TM and 92.9fm supported this initiative from the very beginning.  Both of the stations provided air-time and interviews for the DIFOF volunteers as well as the station becoming a drop-off-point for donations to the charity.


LITTLE WINGS

Little Wings is a small charity based in Sydney who provide free ground and air transport for seriously ill or injured children in need of life-saving medical treatments only available in major cities.

Most recently the service have been flying Miss Victoria, a resident of Tamworth, after suffering burns to her torso. along with her mother Rebeccah for treatment to Westmead Children's Hospital.

​

2TM and 92.9fm provide air-time to help drive donations and awareness to this vital service to regional communities.


AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS LIFEBLOOD

2TM and 92.9fm have been supporters of Red Cross Lifeblood for many years.

Both stations provide air-time to help drive blood donation appeals to our listening audiences.

DOLLY PARTON IMAGINATION LIBRARY

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Australia is a free book gifting program devoted to inspiring a love of reading in the hearts of children everywhere.

 

Each month, enrolled children receive a high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail, free of charge.

 

Children receive books from birth to age five.

​

2TM supports the The Dolly Parton Imagination by way of regular airtime and interviews.  Dolly even provided 2TM a recipe for the 2TM Cookbook!

THE BRAIN FOUNDATION

Chances are you or someone you love suffers from a brain disorder, disease or injury, such as migraine, stroke, dementia, concussion or one of the hundreds of others... Help those you love by supporting the Brain Foundation.


Established in 1970 the Brain Foundation is the largest non-government funder of neurological and neuroscientific research in Australia. It relies entirely upon corporate sponsors, fundraisers, donations, bequests.


 The Brain Foundation has a decades long association with the Tamworth Christmas Fair and 2TM is proud to have been a supporter for the past several years.
